There are many, many house owners who ignore the basement and regard it only as a storage palce. If you believe the basement is just a place for keeping old stuff then you've got it all wrong. Such a space can be lost if permitted to be damp and filled with mold. Waterproofing your basement will prevent future water damages to your propery. There is no doubt that if you have a nice basement which is perfectly waterproofed, you might get more for your residence when you sell it.
